Learning Objectives
Teach multifaceted quality concepts in manufacturing and services.
Elnarge the scope of management systems to enviroment.
Develop in the student the knowledge and skills on management system
in order to
be able to take part to the company certification processes according to
ISO 9001
or ISO 14001.
In the latter case the student will be able to cope with a prelimianry
environmental
analysis.
Teach the theoretical base and the application of statistical methods for
quality
control, and the tools for statistical process control
At the end the course the student will be able to:
- Analyze the quality gap in product manufacturing and service
performing
- Establish sampling plans based on attributes or on variables. Design
and use
control charts.
- Roughly design a quality or environmental management system,
assessing the
compliance with the ISO 9001 or ISO 14001 standards
- Perform a preliminary environmental analysis
