Type of Assessment
Written exam with 20 open-ended questions on all the topics of the program.
The questions will be aimed at verifying the degree of knowledge of the program and the ability to produce a critical analysis.
The vote is cast in thirties.
Course program
Principles of Geology. Earth inner structure. Igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic rocks. Stratigraphy. Tectonics: faults and folds. Geological maps and cross-sections.
Hillslope processes. Hydrogeology. Aquifers. Groundwater movement.
Geomorphology. Main forms of earth surface (structural, glacial, coastal, fluvial, eolic, and carsic forms). Interpretation of topographic maps.
Sustainable Development Goals 2030
While not explicitly addressing Agenda 2030 issues, the topics of the course can be considered essential prerequisites to pursuing certain objectives (6, 7, 11, 12, 13, 15). In addition, a lesson will focus on climate change.
